JUWI Adds Six BESS Projects Across Germany and Belgium, Reaching 700 MWh

JUWI GmbH, headquartered in Wörrstadt, has been awarded contracts by three companies from the energy sector covering the technical operation, servicing, and maintenance of six additional battery energy storage systems.

Six Facilities Under Construction, Commissioning Due Within Six Months

The facilities named in the agreements are presently being built and are scheduled to go online over the coming six months. Storage capacities across the six projects range from 4 to 100 megawatt-hours.

Under the terms of the contracts, JUWI will handle technical operations management together with servicing and maintenance during the first years of each plant's operational phase.

Managed Storage Capacity Grows to Roughly 700 MWh

With the newly signed agreements, the volume of battery storage capacity managed by JUWI rises to around 700 megawatt-hours. The JUWI Group's O&M specialists have been running battery storage systems in Germany and Belgium for more than five years.

According to the company, the contracts reflect both the increasing significance of battery storage for a secure and flexible energy supply and the trust that market participants place in JUWI's long-standing operations management and service expertise.

O&M Head Outlines Life-Cycle Commitment

Oliver Otte, Head of O&M at JUWI GmbH, said three renowned energy sector companies had selected the firm as their O&M partner for servicing, maintenance, and technical operation of their battery storage systems.

He added that the company's many years of experience in operating battery storage creates added value for investors and operators and that the goal is to run the systems reliably, safely, and cost-effectively throughout their entire life cycle.

European Market Standing Reinforced

Through the expansion of its BESS portfolio, JUWI is consolidating its role as an experienced operations management and service partner for battery storage and renewable energy systems in Europe.

The company says the agreements demonstrate the confidence operators and investors have in its track record in technical operations management within the storage sector.
