HiTHIUM Marks 200 GWh Global Milestone in Cumulative Energy Storage Shipments at Chongqing Facility

On October 15, 2026, energy storage technology company HiTHIUM marked a manufacturing and delivery milestone at its Chongqing manufacturing base, where it held a ceremony to recognize the company's cumulative shipments surpassing 200 GWh.

The company reported that its shipment volume doubled from the 100GWh mark, which it crossed in August 2025, to 200 GWh in a period of just over one year.

New Benchmark in Energy Storage with 200 GWh Milestone

HiTHIUM characterized the achievement as setting a new benchmark for scale and quality in the energy storage industry and said it demonstrates strong recognition from the global market of the company's full-scenario integrated energy storage solutions.

The ceremony, formally titled the "HiTHIUM 200 GWh Shipment Milestone Ceremony," was attended by the company's leadership and framed the shipment record as evidence of accelerating progress in three areas the company identified: large-scale manufacturing, full-chain collaboration, and global delivery.

Shipments Double in Half the Time of the First Century Mark

The arithmetic of the company's growth trajectory underscores the acceleration. HiTHIUM shipped its first product at the end of 2021. Reaching the first 100 GWh took roughly four years from that starting point; the most recent 100 GWh accumulated in approximately half that time, or just over a year.

The company said cumulative shipments have now passed both the 100 GWh and 200 GWh thresholds. HiTHIUM identified three core strengths it has built over the years since it began shipping: cost leadership, excellent service, and safety and reliability.

The company ties its volume growth to strengthening capabilities across several domains, including long-duration energy storage, also known as LDES, end-to-end integration, manufacturing enabled by its lighthouse factory, and global delivery and service.

The volume milestones have been accompanied by a steady climb in the company's global standing. HiTHIUM ranked fifth worldwide in 2023, moved to third in 2024, and has held a Global Top 2 position in both 2025 and the first half of 2026, according to the company.

Wang Points to Chongqing Lighthouse Factory as Delivery Engine

Jason Wang, HiTHIUM's Co-founder and CEO, addressed the ceremony and positioned the 200 GWh figure not as a destination but as what he called a new starting point for the company's high-quality global development. He said HiTHIUM is pursuing an ambition to become the world's leading energy storage brand through technology innovation, integrated development, and global expansion.

Wang placed particular emphasis on the role of the Chongqing manufacturing base, which the company describes as the world's first energy storage battery lighthouse factory.

According to Wang, the facility deepens collaboration across the supply chain and enables the high-quality delivery of products at scale, while supporting the development of the new energy storage industry more broadly. "This milestone was not just about growth—it was about scaling end-to-end capabilities," said Wang.

Industry Competition Shifts to Integrated Value Chains

In his remarks on the outlook for the sector, Wang argued that competition in the energy storage industry is no longer determined by individual products but by the strength of integrated capabilities across the entire value chain. HiTHIUM said that in response, it will work to strengthen its competitiveness along three dimensions: innovation, systems, and responsibility.

On the innovation front, the company said it will remain focused on energy storage and its LDES strategy. Plans include accelerating the global deployment of its first kAh-class integrated LDES solution and building full-scenario solutions that span from cells to the grid. The stated goal is to establish "New energy + LDES" as a reliable anchor for the new power system.

On systems, HiTHIUM outlined a globalization strategy it describes as "strong within, strong beyond," led by its Xiamen headquarters and supported by the Chongqing manufacturing base together with overseas localization. The company plans to drive end-to-end integration across technology, products, supply chain, and delivery, while also strengthening global resource allocation and project delivery.

On responsibility, the company emphasized a long-term commitment to promoting collaboration across the value chain through localized operations, fostering what it termed new quality productive forces, and contributing to the sustainable development of its own business, the wider industry, and local communities.

Company Sets Sights on the Next 100 GWh

Looking forward, HiTHIUM said it will advance LDES technology, upgrade the smart manufacturing system at its lighthouse factory, strengthen its global delivery capabilities, and drive shipments toward the next 100 GWh in support of the global green energy transition.

The milestone arrives at a time when long-duration energy storage has become a growing focus for the energy storage sector.

The company's stated strategy connects its shipment scale directly to its LDES ambitions and to an integrated, full-chain model that runs from cells through systems, manufacturing, and global service delivery. Having accumulated its most recent 100 GWh in roughly half the time required to reach its first, the company now faces the question of whether it can sustain that pace as it works toward its next 100 GWh target.
